Was a bit disappointed when I found out Trinity had a family tbh, made him seem a lot less ruthless & crazy than I originally thought.

Just finished episode 7 last night, and from a character & plot development perspective it makes complete sense. Dexter's struggling with keeping both his family & personal lives, everyone thinks the Trinity Killer is so successful because he didn't have a family to tie him down, turns out he's actually a very successful family man with the "perfect family" so Dexter keeps him alive to learn from him. Just that personally I would have liked him better if he was some secluded lunatic like they originally thought he was.

Not a failure, just not as good of a villain as I originally thought. Same thing about Dexter after he got married, it's completely his fault that the kids annoy him & keep him up & that Rita's bitching about trust all the time. He shouldn't have got married in the first place.

In a way that is true, like when he took a bath with his wife & did the same shit he did to his bathtub victims & she had no idea. That was pretty badass.

The first two seasons are still my favourite and a must-watch for anyone with a decent taste in... thrillers? Anyway, really curious to see where they take the show with the sixth season. Hope it's not the same drill over again.
