U niggas need to listen to Magna Carta by M9 (if you haven't) best UK hip hop album, might even prefer it over Rhyme Asylum's albums, and think it's much better than lowkey's album. Which was bloated with unnecessary skits (Hopefully MikeNUFC doesn't see that)

I do see it's appeal actually, and black thought's writing is peerless in that album. But I guess just prefer the public enemyish paranoia instilled in game theory and it's a lot more energetic, less bad guests. Rising Down could be a contender for best roots album if it had more black thought verses, like what the fuck were they thinking making it an orgy with medicore ass mcs filling up the album. At least they had the foresight to remove birthday girl from it

The Fire is my favorite Roots song by far. John Legends hook is epic

But nah, Blu's were probably the only good features in that album everyone else was like just me waiting for black thought's verses, it's probably their most accessible album and a lot easier to get into than say illadelph halflife.

The best roots song is without a doubt Can't Stop This that dilla beat is orgasmic, not to mention I get teary eyed at that intro
