If I want emotion and drama, I would watch an Adele interview; that doesn't mean I shouldn't listen to Em's "emotional" songs.

Your biggest failure is that you don't understand Hip-Hop. The most important thing about art, and in this case rap music, is to be creative and express yourself through it. "Yourself" isn't just the things that have happened to you, it's also your points of view, opinions, sense of humor, fantasies, and all sorts of moods that make you who you are. Rappers shouldn't limit themselves with what they've gone through, they should put all of their personality in it, and neither should their fans.

I'm not saying that you should like all (types of) songs, but you should give them a chance before you dismiss them. I bet you would hate to like Jay-Z. Hell, I'm not the biggest fan of his either, but I can acknowledge his complexity and strong points.

You say "to each his own" but you rarely stick by that statement. You say Kanye relies on sampling, while sampling is how Hip-Hop was conceived. I bet you would hate to like Kanye as well.

I could care less who you and Eminem consider his core fans. Most of those core fans don't even grasp Eminem's talent the best way, so both of you can go and fuck yourselves.

Aftermathers, I have ignored your threads up to this stage. But this takes the piss.

Bringing up Jay-Z over and over and over does not help your case.
Bringing up sales over and over and over does not help your case.
Criticising the basis of hip-hop over and over and over does not help your case.
Not having any common sense over and over and over DOES NOT HELP YOUR FUCKING CASE.

Now get the fuck out.

Mind showing some boobs?

No but seriously, I don't really care about her/his threads. It brings a little activity, some of his/her opinions might be annoying but it's ok.

I've heard every Jay Z Album from Reasonable Doubt to Watch The Throne and i didn't enjoy his Music from the Subject Matter to the Lyrics to the Concepts to the style of Rapping my initial thoughts were the Music sounds boring. Same with Eminem heard all his comedy type or shock value Songs from owning The SSLP in 1999 to listening to Hell The Sequel the Music just isn't what i enjoy at all. I grasp Eminem's talent to me it is making Music from the heart that is why i listen to him simply because of what he says in his Lyrics, how he expresses what he been through and the ability he has to move the listener to me is his bigget talent. That is 1 aspect but also a very talented Producer.

Is he really that bad? Annoying is the only characteristic I can personally label him as, but we have a lot of annoying members (inb4menzo).

He isn't breaking rules.

You don't think he's trolling?

Not really, could just be the case of someone who just doesn't "get it".

I think he's almost definitely trolling.

His opinion's are ones that generally go against the majority of members opinions. Which is all good.
But then he argues them in a way that you would to intentionally wind someone up

OK, then, just answer me these couple of questions with yes or no:

Do you mind Em making non-emotional songs i.e. would you prefer if he didn't have any shock-value/comedy songs at all?

Do you agree that people are entitled to like those non-emotional songs, and maybe dislike the emotional ones?

Do you agree that Jay-Z has a great delivery and metaphors?

Do you agree that people are entitled to think that Jay-Z is great, and that maybe he's better than Eminem?

Do you agree that people are entitled to think that any rapper may be better than Eminem?

Do you agree that most Hip-Hop songs, specially the good ones, relay on sampling i.e. that sampling is an integrated part of rap music?

Do you agree that sampling is a talent by itself, and that it does take skill to make a good song out of a sample?

You idiot i live in 1 myself and do you realize what blacks, asians, latins say about Eminem's crazy shock value music? they completley put off by his Music because of the crazy over the top shock value?

My point is in Urban communities people don't respect Horrorcore/Shock Value so if people do listen to Eminem it is the Emotional Material but literally so many people laugh at and don't condone THe shock material Eminem does

Hence why i asked the question cos it seems most of you are from the Suburbs and not from the Inner City or not raised around ethnic minorities like me it seems basically you guys are in some dillusion about how people in the inner city where i grew up feel about not just Slim Shady but Tech 9, Esham, Cage or any other Rapper making that kinda Music.

I really love some Eminem Songs that are non Deep, non Emotional, non heart felt like So Bad, You Don't Know, Jimmy Crack Corn Smack That etc i like those Songs So Bad is a Song i love i can never get bored of that. It;s not non Emotional Songs i hate i listen to Rappers like Max B and Dipset that don't make that kinda Music it's the Slim Shady/Shock Value/Horrorcore Music i just can't stand it's a type of Music that is just not for me at all.

Yes i would prefer if he didn't have any Shock Value at all basically no Slim Shady Alter Ego but would love him to still make non Deep Songs such as So Bad or Syllables just no Shock Value or rape, incest, serial killing, psycho stuff.

I have said before and will never deny that Jay Z's Delivery and Flow is good his strongest and best thing he is good at is Flow so i won't ever say he not good at that.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, we all have our own taste so no issue with that.

Sampling is a huge aspect no doubt i just feel Producers who create Beats from start to scrarch are more talented but Sampling is cool countless classics have had Samples.
