I hate to see him go, he contributed a lot to the forum, especially recently. But the rules are rules, as unfortunate as that may sound. If they let him slide with stuff then I respect the Mods even more, because they saw he was trying to benefit the forum. With that being said, I think changes may be better for us. I don't necessarily have anything against the rules, but I think that reducing points after a while may not be a terrible idea. Obviously there would have to be some stipulations, and you'd have to earn it. But I think if they promote the site in a good way and build a better forum, some reduction should be allowed. And if, after said reduction, they blatantly fuck up, they're banned. But if they were really concered with changing for the better, they wouldn't blatantly fuck up. Thus the rules maintain their power, and it erases a lot of bickering amongst members.


Just my two cents. I'm not a mod, so I don't know what goes on with that front. I have a lot of respect for those guys, they don't have vendettas, the rules govern everyone fairly. They take a lot of shit, and I think some of it is unfair. But I also think some changes may be beneficial, both to the site and members.

Word to this. You and I have both been on this site for about a year now (give or take two months apart) and are more lurkers than posters each. Combined we have less posts than some people who have been here 1 week lol.

But in that time, I've seen some of the shit the mods of went through. And a lot of people I respect here become mods, so yeah, whatever they do is there call. I do think it'd be cool to open up the mod section or certain parts of it and let us know what you're doing every couple of months, but hey, it is what it is.

Nonetheless, Didn't FS get banned again? On an alt? That ends this argument.

Some of us thought it was his alt, and SajN proved it beyond a reasonable doubt. I didn't really like FreeSpeech's personality, but I, along with the rest of the mods (SajN included), recognized his recent contributions to the forum. He was given leniency, and warned for things that he knew not to do. Regardless of what he was banned for, the fact is that the dude was let slide on other things because we wanted to give him a fair shot at staying here. At the end of the day though, we all agreed that wasn't fair to the rest of you that are expected to follow the rules.

SajN explained to him the best course of action if he wanted unbanned. Instead of contacting the person that could have possibly changed his situation, he made an alt, and pretty much made any valid claim of redemption lose any legitimacy.
