Fleka, i'm not quite sure where you're going with this. This entire post seems like it contradicts itself in many places. Unless, of course, you're just talking about ego-boosting. Then I'd say that I agree. If a person is seeking online recognition then there is something wrong in their lives.

Since you mentioned it, what can we think about people that get ego boosts in places like this?
I mean, if you put "female" in your "gender" category, people will get mahogany on every post you do. Even the ugly chicks get extra attention here.

Or, you browse the forum, read topics, you see what most of the people here think. And you go with that. You say what you don`t really think, just to get accepted. And you get praised for that. You feel good. Your got an ego boost. You actually feel good because people like something that you are not. You created someone else and that other person got praised and that felt good for your ego. You actually liked the fact that people don`t actually like you, they like something that is quite opposite from you. That is really fucked up.

This is true. Being the internet, the age difference can, and often does, slip our minds. Sometimes I wonder why people's logic is so flawed, then I realize that they're probably nearly half my age and I end up feeling like an idiot for having argued with them in the first place.


By the same token though, we have people who are supposedly mature (age-wise) yet are still compete morons. The poster above you, for instance.

Exactly. And if you look back to when you had that age, 15 or so...we wasn't better. I see a lot of behaviors here I used to have. You might be overrated, they call me useless. Why should we care? Like if I didn't have another thing in mind than being useless or overrated in Tr. I'm here to talk about Eminem, music or post random stuff in backstage, I don't pretend to add anything to this place. So I don't care if I fit or not. Or if I'm cool or not.

haha , I don't know how old he is tbh. And is not that every single old person here is acting mature. I said I was generalizing. For the most part I think he just jokes around. Another thing is that if it is funny.

I'm not saying older people is necesary better, what I say is that when you have an age you don't try to fit the same way that when you are very young. And you might have your opinion more formed. I never felt like lying about if I like a song or not. Because I don't care what the rest of you think about my taste. But I think when you are very young and specially at first, many times you try to fit following the leader (or the cool members).

I agree with pretty much everything you said here. Although I have contributed an enormous amount to this site, it wasn't really intentional or me going out of my way to do it.

Lack of self esteem, yes, but this is also the place where you can be everything you are not in the real world.
And the age difference is the biggest problem. I understand 15 years olds, they don`t understand me. I was once their age and I had my thing going on and nobody couldn`t tell me anything. Now I remember those times and laugh. And sometimes I facepalm myself.
