Also, just to throw this out there...some people laugh to express sadness or to ease the tension of the situation. I realize that offends others but still, calm down. It's just how some people express their emotions and as human beings I think we need to realize that.

This is some fucked up shit. I've been reading more about it this morning and apparently the dude bought a ticket to the movie, once it started, slipped out the emergency exit, propped the door open, went to his car, grabbed his guns and armor and gas mask and shit, came back in, went to the front of the theatre, threw the smoke bombs and started working his way up the aisle just picking off random people.

This is so fucked up. Makes us wonder if anywhere is safe nowadays.

Also, he lived close to the hospital where they took the injured. He had a Jerry-rigged bomb in his apartment that was liable to blow up the whole hospital (remind you of anything from TDK? He did say he was the Joker as well...)

^^^Even though his apartment was across the street from the hospital, the bomb in his apartment most likely wouldn't have reached the hospital. The 5 buildings around him would have gone first. They're still trying to get into the apartment. Will close off the main streets soon so they can send in a bomb robot.

They did clear the hospital where he worked to be sure he didn't place any bombs there. But I go to that hospital a few times a month and there's always some construction going on, so I don't get how they're clearing the building already. There are hundreds of places for bombs to be hidden there.

It's one of my biggest passions, and to see this happening at this event, or at any event for that matter, is really sad. I go to the movies often; hell, I was at the premiere last night. Not once did I even think that someone could've come in with guns blazing. And to see the smile on that guys face after it happened. I typically don't get that involved in situations like these, but the movie theater is almost like a second home to me. I can't even imagine what those people went through.
