I didn't think I needed an argument, showing that worrying about impotence i.e. drinking lots of pomegranate - trust me, look it up), ain't necessarily the coolest thing out.

Who cares about what you look like over time. Worrying about that =/= cool. Impotency isn't enough on the agenda for it to affect anyone's judgement (i.e. when you see Ryan Gosling light one up, I'd wager next to zero people think he might be impotent).

but fuck good movies can make many of things look cool
I just can't find it cool in real life tho
having friends in high school just going through packs because they let themselves get addicted
plus that smell :s, its so nasty
and now when I watch movies with friends who smoke
their smoking breaks, are so annoying. every god damn 30 mins or so
then when I'm walking around, so many people asking for cigs -_-
you also got some dudes who will walk around looking for a cig to smoke picking up cigs off the floor and lighting them
and if smokers don't get their cigs fuck they so annoying

I agree is very cool to see James Dean smocking in a movie.......but real life is a whole different story. Dude died at 27 in a car accident, die young can be really cool, look Kurt Cobain. Would you want that too?

Smokers often smell like hell and have that bad breath and yellow teeth , that looks everything but cool.

Alcohol is not "cool".
Drugs are not "cool".

If you seriously think they are cool then you are a fool.

Having said that I smoke weed almost once a week socially with mates and have the occasional drag of a cigarette (I don't really enjoy cigarettes though so I know I won't get addicted but sometimes when I'm drunk I like to have a buzz) I am also a heavy drinker, binge usually three times a week, I have dropped Acid a few times and take speed/ecstasy every now and then at festivals and shit like that.

Now, why do I do those things? Because I like the way they make me feel. Do I need them? No. Do I want them? Yes. Do I condone them? No. I would never encourage people to do drugs and I respect people who have the self control not to. I honestly think you're an idiot if you think drugs are "cool" but I also think you're an idiot if you can't respect someone's choice to experiment.

I think it's an issue when people get on crack or heroin as they are definately addictive and I have personally seen friends fucked from crack and that's where I draw my own personal line. Weed doesn't give you cancer either (or at least hasn't been proven to) and no one has ever died from weed.

tbh smoking makes people feel good, thats why they do it, then they get addicted and need it to feel regular, thats like any other drug.
