I don't think it's tasteful to make fun of soldiers dying. I've had family that died overseas, and family that returned safely. I get not supporting a war, but I'm not sure it's a good decision to mock people dying in any context.

Then again, who's to draw the line? I don't really know. I've heard it said that either everything is off-limits, or nothing is off-limits. Then again, maybe it doesn't need saying when something is distasteful.

Syria is fighting for freedoom. Egypt was fighting for freedoom. America hasn't fought for freedoom since 1780. (or the war of 1812, depending on your views) even then, the American Revolution wasnt about freedom, it was about greedy capitalists not wanting to pay their taxes. (note that I'm happy we won. I dont want an English accent).

The only time America truly fought for freedom was in wwii. And even then we showed up late, destroyed a nation that was on the brink of surrender and ultimately just fucked things up.
