I hate when people say..

You hopped on the "bandwagon". Just for liking an artist after they release an album.

For example, when Eminem released Recovery, he regained his followers & fans.
Of course, the genuine "die-hard" fans that were listening to him since The Slim Shady LP complain about how the new fans don't really like Eminem, and how they only listen to him because of Recovery.

Since when did it become necessary to listen to an artists discography just to be a fan?
If an artist likes Eminem just because of Recovery, let it be.

In my experience I've found people who use the term 'bandwagon' are people who can't stand their favourite artist/team/whatever getting more fans because that person is losing their sense of exclusivity. So say someone is the only guy in their group who likes an underground rapper, and then suddenly that rapper gets exposure and everyone is listening to him. That person has to let people know that he listened to the rapper before he got famous. So basically it's a term used by people who can't stand that everyone likes the same thing they do now.

THAT pisses me off.

This reminds me of a friend I have.

Whenever Man U loses a game, he immediately declares that he is no longer a fan.

I hate that. I'm a fan of a hockey team who hasn't even made the playoffs in 7 years, and won the championship since 1967 (Toronto Maple Leafs). And I've never switched teams. I cheer for other teams in the playoffs because I like them too, but I'd NEVER root against my own team or switch to a different one.
