here's my opinion
people have different taste in what they look for in headphones.
frequency range, highs-lows, clarity of instruments and vocals. how sharp the bass is. those are the main things people look for.
Dre beats can be beat, but yes they are very nice headphones. i myself have a pair.
the bass is great, its ok sharp but you can feel it not just hear it, so if your a bass person youll like em.
get a 320kbs song and the vocals and instruments sound amazing as well, but i admit it doesnt do much for lower quality tracks.
the noise isolation is probably the most impressive thing about these. i cannot hear my wife yelling from five feet away when i have a mildly loud song on. thats isolation at its prime.
you must take more than a few days to get use to them and get the full experience.
i myself didnt think they were great at first, then listening to my friends earbuds which he claimed were better... i now see the lack that other headphones have.
people who dont like these are basically either, EXTREME audiophiles. people who hate bass,
or people who really look for crisp highs, those are my only faults with the headphones
i would pay 200-250, i got them as an xmas present, its the only reason i have them for the price theyre at
