Anyone Fasting?

I've never even been to church. My mom had some sort of falling out with the reverend guy at her church when she was a teenager and she doesn't believe in organized religion anymore. She still believes really strongly in God, but that's about it, and she never brought up me or any of my siblings to believe in God or any particular religion.

So, i went to church today... through a bit of coercion and guilty conscience and as soon as the lent/fasting issue was brought up, i thought of the 1 thing i should give up. Not chips or sweets... those things are easy. Not meat, it will give u the "i need food excuse." I've tried stopin porn and wankin for 3 years now to zero success.

So, this year, for 40 days and 40 nights (starts Wednesday for the record) i am going to give up any alcoholic beverage. Hardest sacrifice EVER!

^Nah, I think you're thinking about Ramadan, which is for muslims.

This is something else though, i think it's called Lent, or smth. Lent fasting.

no, that's muslim fasting. Christian fasting is free, it's all about what YOU want to give up/sacrifice/do/not do.... no rules.

I'm not sure what I'll sacrafice. I already go to mass every Sunday anyways. I go to a Catholic school, so the influence to be holy is there.

i remember i was crashing at a friend's house in Ramadan and we played hours of soccer during the day to pass the time, we got fucked up but it was worth it

Same.. But it was hot and I got really thirsty. Was worth doing it though. It's a lot easier with friends or family.
