Should I get this car?

I've ALWAYS wanted a yellow beetle, but this is just too cute for words. I'm getting tired of my current car and I think I want to trade in to see what kind of a deal I can get. My friend's grandpa told me that cars that dome-shaped tend to be safer, and in light of these car accident stories, I've been kinda thinking about getting something new. What do you think?

Convertibles are considerably less safe than a traditional car. Something to consider, if you're talking about safety.

VW makes good cars, at least I've always heard that. Repairs are more expensive than domestic, but they're also known for reliability. If you can get that car, I say go for it.

I'd get an RX-8 if I had money like that, but I just love Mazda rotaries.
