It always annoyed me how you ALWAYS substituted "I'm" for "I am".

It's "I am"!! It sounds weird as hell when you say, "Yes, I'm." Wtf??

It's strange to end the sentence on a contraction, but he didn't do that in the title, nor the post.

Unless you mean you just dislike contractions in general, which...well, it's very common in American English. It may sound weird to use them to others, but it sounds weird not to use them here.

Well, in the example, he gave, he's ending the sentence with the contraction "I'm". That is strange, most people would never do that, because it doesn't sound right to end the sentence with a noun/verb contraction. "I am", "It is", "I have", and so forth. Of course, contractions with no nouns sound perfectly fine at the end. "No they don't". Yes they do.

I've never seen Blu do that though. Generally, you'll have someone that has a different native language that will make an odd mistake like that, but that's not the case here. Sam will elaborate, I'm sure.

Yeah, I don't end my sentences with contractions either expect if you consider "I don't" as one. I just can't see myself saying "I do not"

In some english essays though, we can't use contractions such as "it's" "I'm" "don't" or "can't" at all
