I talked to Eedee Crash, he doesn't like his voice, and isn't impressed with Kenny's rhymes schemes. But I'm trying to get him into a wider range Hip Hop in general first.

Kendrick has the fucking dopest rhyme schemes. And the dopest voice.

It's all subjective though, like I seriously hate Danny Brown but everyone loves him.

Hesky was acting like a little bitch though. I thought Eedee's comments came off a lot more respectful than Hesky's, not that I really care either way. Everyone is entitled to an opinion.

I just disagree about him being sub-par lyrically, I don't know how you can listen to Keisha's Song or Art of Peer Pressure or Sing About Me and think that.

Though, I fully understand how hype and blind faith can intensify your anguish towards an artist. It certainly is a lot harder to appreciate things when idiots are praising it to no end without reasoning.

Okay, so with all this arguing and shit going on recently about Kendrick. I sat down and listened to GKMC again. Like, REALLY listened. To every word.

Caught me off guard. Shit was cash.

Kendrick has some really nice thoughts in this album and his flow is nice and catchy. Nothing amazing, IMO, but solid as hell. Enjoyable.

The line that really got me was the one in Sing About Me:

Maybe cause I'm a dreamer and sleep is the cousin of death

Also, I got used to his voice and I kinda like it now...

So suffice to say, my opinion has changed. Kendrick is dope.

However, I would like it if he rhymed a bit more, but his subject matter, flow, thoughts make up for that.

Sorry to Crash and Pain and whoever else. :y:

Kendrick rhymes a lot dude, just in a unique way. He picks every single word, every single syllable, very carefully.

Who gives a shit if his bars don't dont in 5 syllable multis? He usually has at least two schemes going on at any given time.

Like his vibe remix. Listen to that and tell me his rhyming isn't top notch.

Only the "sleep is the cousin of death" part. Both lines are phrased differently and it has a different meaning.

Word.

It just feels like he doesn't because your ears pick up on the end of the bars more, so it doesn't sound like he rhymes enough. But I get your point. :y:

I thought the same thing at first when I tried listening to Section.80, I wasn't too impressed at first.

Listen to Rigamortis too, it's pretty obvious from that song what I mean. Dude is on another level when you notice how every little word is used for a specific purpose.

Try listening to his Control verse after you get the hang of it (so to speak). He's got some great rhyming on that too, even though it seems pretty simple at first.
