Ever since I've started making music people have been making fun of me. It's not the fact I'm bad (I actually doubt they've heard a single bar), it's the fact that it's the cool thing to do. It's hard to have conversations with anyone at my school anymore except with a few people due to the fact that I know they're mocking me.

After I got back from New York (where I saw em at G Shock :D) I was expecting all this shit to be over... OH FUCKING HELL I WAS WRONG!

Hey! (insert real name here) I HEARD YOU WERE ON TOUR BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

WHERE WERE YOU? ON TOUR BAHAHA

I seriously hate life (don't worry, I'm not going to kill myself lol). I was never socially awkward growing up and I would always try talk to everyone but after this experience and getting jumped whilst on my holiday, I've noticed myself becoming afraid of people. I'm trying to avoid all social interaction.. I get sweaty just going up to a store counter.

The saddest thing is that I really thought things were finally going to change for me once I got back... fuck me.

I can understand how you feel.

By the way, we're doing a song together but I've never even heard you rap before. PM me some links to your shit? :y:

Dude, those dudes mocking you are insecure fuckers - do you.
TrShady is just great. A place where pompousus blowhards can connect with other pompousus blowhards, and form a vast circle jerk of pomposity.

Dawg, trust me. They're going to laugh at you and ether the FUCK outta you because of the dream you chase. But what you need to remember is to NEVER give up and let bitch niggas psyche you out. 9 times out of 10 they have no idea how difficult the Hip Hop grind really is, so of course they'll laugh till the shoe's on the other foot. I went through the same thing when I started out too. It's the work you put in that matters, nobody's born with the ability to write rhymes, it's a skill, you hone your craft. Sharpen your sword. I got a ways to as well, but growth is everything. Always keep working. And pay them no mind cause they'll be the SAME motherfuckers who'll come up to you and look at you for favors when you prove that you mean what you say.

Welcome to Australia dawg. Hip Hop artists get no respect over here. That's why we all have to come up battle rapping.

Thank you so much bro :y: It feel so good to have another artist tell me something like that :worship:

No problem. :y: Just make sure that throughout the whole journey of this, you need to get a few things straight, mainly.. how much are you willing to sacrifice? Meaning time, money, effort and friends for rap? Cause it takes a LOT of resources to get good at something this, people who say rap is easy are lying OR they've been doing it long enough to where they're used to it. You gotta know what you want out of it and how far you want to go. If you wanna blow up, you gotta be unique. From being at The Grammys to just being Independent, originality is a huge thing. You gotta be appealing to people, have personality in your music. So if you're a goofy kid, showcase that but don't have fart noises in every song you have lmao. But do it for the passion and love for the sport, not for fame. You gotta fall in love with it. That's why you see dudes like Chance The Rapper and Macklemore getting bigger, they're unique and you can tell they're being real with themselves in the music and love what they do. And most of all, use your imagination. Always think big. Bigger thoughts are more exciting and much more likely to get attention and always strive for 110%. Of course, I'm a perfectionist myself, and this is all me assuming you're going with this all the way lol.

Also, adding to what JP is saying, the following is important as fuck.

Learn how to mix vocals. That's huge. It's a very important part of being a rap artist.

Also, not needed AS much, but it's pretty crucial IMO, learn how to make beats. I have so much respect for rappers who make their own beats. It's not an easy skill to learn. Fuck, I'm still a beginner of beat-making. It's fun too. :y:

Hahaha, I fuckin' suck at mixing vocals BUT my producing skills on the other hand are getting a lot better. I started in 2011, started rapping in 2010. And just this year I started getting audible and my beats are becoming decent (Dope to me, but I'm humble). It's a grind, man. Other rappers will tell it to you and you will NEVER understand it until you're up at 4AM drinking coffee, trying to mix down beats or vocals while writing some other lyrics down. Rap life is fuckin difficult if you're an upstart. People shit on you, no marketing skills or promotion, you have no backing or support, no high quality equipment, probably don't have that much money to spare, and all you have is your dreams, drive and skill to help you out. But the thing is, in the same measure, it's so exciting when you're there and slowly people start to take you serious. People will start going "Oh, shit, he's getting better... REALLY better.. I gotta start keeping an eye out." I'm still at the stage where lots don't take me too seriously, but you gotta stay positive, success doesn't fly down from the sky and grant you a record deal, 100k fans and an MTV spot. Look at Eminem, Jay-Z, Hopsin, and all these other rappers. They had to bust their ass off to get to that one opportunity and they took it. So until that opportunity comes, you have to work 100% into your craft.

^ Exactly.

Yo, do you have a Facebook? I'd like to talk with you more about this. Plus I haven't heard your raps/beats yet. I'd like to.
