Is it really a normal thing?

Postby gutawafang » Jun 9th, '14, 00:52

I mean, I grew up well. Wasn't from a wealthy family. My studies was good. I was constantly the best class from Grade School to High School and I have a diploma.

And then I now have a job that I hate so much. Is it a normal thing for humans to hold a job they hate just to earn money and then work until retirement? And then die without fulfilling ambitions, passions, etc?

I feel so depressed whenever I wake up at 530am in the morning to go to work. I feel like I don't have purpose in life except earning this pathetic amount of money monthly and be sad about the stupid job.

Is it really a normal thing? Am I leading a normal life? Social stigma isn't it? I take the train to work. All I see are sleepy people and I think they're sad.

Normal? Yes. It's probably not a good thing, but it's socially normal for people to hold jobs they don't like just so they have a paycheck.

It's boring man. I wanna peddle drugs and earn a huge sum and then retire early. :zipped:

You're in a much better position than the majority of people in this world, stop being a pussy and appreciate it. Or don't and again, pop yo self.

:( :( :( I wanted opinions. I mean, I think I'm too normal it makes me an insane person.

I mean, I don't really care about comparing my life with other people. I don't understand why bring up other people's "sadder" lives because I'm better off?

I wanna switch jobs but I don't think I can. I'm stuck here based on contract. :(

Does your life suck? I'm asking casually actually. I don't mean to sound mean. I'm wondering if it's really okay to have a life that sucks. Is it really a stigma? Like the more your life sucks, the more normal you are?

well, it's okay I guess right now. I go to schools still, but it's pretty boring, nearly the same activities follow each day. Ever since I lost my last good things have been going a lot slower. Also when I had the job school was on hold because it was a full time job. Now that I find myself back in school, just feel like I'm behind and things haven't gone as planned.

I guess we have to learn to deal with it or put ourselves in better, more comfortable situations. I don't think there is anything wrong with us lol. It's normal to feel like this under stress or fatigue.

Perhaps I think too much about my future. I feel like I'm slowly destroying myself man. The future seems to be so vague for me. Or rather, plain. Just plain. It's constant. It's repetitive. It's mundane. I'm not really under stress at work. I'm under stress before and after work. :(

Sometimes I don't even know what I'm saying. I don't think I make any sense. I'm happy but bored.

No, it's not normal. You are FORTUNATE to have a full time job and earn enough money to support yourself.

Pull your fucking head out of your ass.

Yeah, definitely, just gotta learn how to deal with it better. Maybe some new hobbies could help. Traveling is good, use to do that a whole lot and have had some of the best times of my life doing it.

Yeah that's pretty much the reason I'm still alive man. I'm quite happy with this kind of life but not satisfied because it could be better.

But at the same time, it feels like it won't get better. Getting laid doesn't help either. :(
