For a while, I had my eye on a dog at the shelter I volunteer at every week. I was planning on adopting her in the next two weeks. But apparently one day after my shift she, and several other dogs, caught CPV (Canine parvovirus). Now they all have a small chance of survival. I think the mortality rate is around 70 - 80%... This fucking sucks. After a while working there you tend to create an attachment to the dogs, and I would really hate to see them die.

thats sucks...this happened to me sorta...only it was a girl..i was gonna ask her out on valentines day and make it be romantic but then the day before valentines day, she was in a car accident and was in the hospital...i was with her in the room the next day (valentines day) and she wasnt going to make it. I told her how i felt about her when we were alone and she said back to me, "I had a feeling. i feel the same way about you too."..i held her hand and a few minutes later, she died...
