Eminem was listed among music legends like the Beatles, Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix in Rolling Stone's upcoming issue listing their choices for the 50 greatest figures of rock. Elton John also compares him with the above mentioned Hendrix and fellow-Britain Mick Jagger. John says he got goose bumps while rehearsing with the rapper for the 2001 Grammys.

Ummm...why would they classify Em as Rock??? That's like me going into fucking Circuit City a while back and asking for the Greatest Hits Cd because I couldn't find it in the rap section, and they was like.."Oh, he's in Pop next to Britney Spears..." Wtf????

well.... they also had him on vh1 rocks most 100 shocking moments ive never exactly figured out y they do that to him. it is extremely disrespectful becus he lives and breaths rap. but his music has always had kinda a rock tinge... but i think they only do it becus hes white wich isnt fair becus they wouldnt do that to 2Pac, or NWA... u wouldnt see them on a rock list, or in the pop section! i think its just a load of bullshit. hes 100% hard core rap, and thats wat he deserves to be classified as!

Yeah, anything rebellious from NWA to Eminem has always been associated with Rock music, cos rock was always the rebellious form of music until hip-hop arrived. So both styles are kind of linked like that. That`s why "Kerrang" (A Rock magazine) commonly has 'Best of Eminem' programmes on their t.v channel.

My favourite genre`s of music have always been hip-hop & heavy metal, skillful, loud, in your face, fuck you music, that`s how i like it!!
