just look at Infinite as copying Nas & AZ's style, instead of looking it at it as a lyrical, non-crazy, killing, nice flow type of album that it was? I know a good amount of Em fans don't like it because it doesn't have the emotion or even as much lyricism as compared to his music since then, but don't you think it should of been judged more fairly?

It shouldn't be judged so harshly, but he did really try to copy their styles because he was trying to...find his own style, I guess. He admitted to this too, I think?

He said what you just said, and that people were saying he was sounding a lot like Nas and AZ with that Infinite style, so that's why he stopped it, and eventually switched to the squeaky, SSLP voice.

I'm pretty sure the first time I tried writing things I sounded a lot like the SSLP, but obviously not as good.

I think it's fairly impossible to develop your own sound and style unless you've been at it for a while.

So..Em has his influences, and it was evident. Doesn't mean it's not good though.

Exactly. When I started writing, I had been listening to a bunch of old (new at the time) T.I. stuff. My rhymes only worked with his accent and delivery, which I don't have, so they were trash.

The Infinite style wasn't even his first though, he used to rap hella fast before that.
