Damn, maybe Rihanna will beat Em :o
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

^ True, but the INAD video has just dropped, and the song is doing well in the charts.

+ The video for Spacebound is coming very soon, and once that drops...

One Mic wrote:I honestly think Eminem can sit comfortably besides the legends/icons of music such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Michael Jackson etc - purely in terms of impact and relevance. Even if you absolutely hate him as person, and think his music is shit, you can't deny this.

Highest selling artist of the decade (2000-2009), critically acclaimed movie with 8 Mile, won an Academy Award for Lose Yourself, has 13 Grammy Awards, had the highest selling album of 2010, and constantly gets attention/hype surrounding him and he doesn't even have to try anymore, it's effortless.

Put it this way, 'Eminem' will still be a talking point in 20 years time. His music will always live!

That would be amazing for any artist, but the fact he is a rapper representing hip-hop (a genre that is often dismissed by music snobs), and is white, and was the first white rapper to blow the fuck up and make it big time, makes it even more of an achievement.

Or how about people started respecting him and became real fans of him after Recovery and now even have all of his albums and have become stans like us? Or people that were young when Em was popular back in the day just now discovered who he is and started listening to his music?

Quit assuming everyone who wasn't a fan before Recovery just "hopped on the Eminem bandwagon" after. He DID gain some genuine fans, you know.

Yeah, exactly. I know loads of guys that are like 13 and like him. And they know all his old songs too. But they were simply too young to like him when he first started out. It's not their fault. They can't control the fact that they can't remember when his first albums were released!

A lot of us here are just very blessed to have been the right age when he got famous. :) Many people here even knew him before, but people can't become Eminem fans when they're in the womb...

Not to mention, a lot of older people simply just started liking now for whatever reason. One of my friends, who's never really cared for Eminem before, heard Airplanes, then two weeks later, he's telling me that he's driving down to Cornwall alone for the weekend, but it's okay, because he has 6 hours worth of Eminem to listen to! :o He's quite into hip hop in general now. :)

And how about people who have been fans of him since he came out but only have Facebook since last year?
