Moved this to the main section, I think it deserves to be there. :smoking:

Anyway, such a shame that we'll never get to hear it.

I guess this is sorta on topic
Was 'King Mathers' a real album in the making?
Of course you hear it in Syllables, but it could just be referring to 'em, i've heard it being called out a few times and i think cashis actually said it once in a tweet but that doesn't make it necessarily real? Anyway, i guess we'll never really know :coffee:
So if I should ever fall and get caught in a hustle
Let them know that I died while I fought in a struggle
From the hoodrats to rich kids lost in a bubble
Spray paint it on the streets and in the subway tunnels
Write it down and remember, that we never gave in
The mind of a child is where the revolution begins
So if the solution has never been to look in yourself,
How is it that you expect to find it anywhere else?

Apparently it was complete. Obie,50,Cashis said along the lines that it was great and nearly finished if not finished. But other than it being a very dark psychological album I don't believe it would have been great lyrically based on the shit he was putting out back then.

Yes.

Everyone said it was Premo and Em's first collab together but apparently Premo didn't even produce it.

If i recall correctly Eminem produced the song but sent it Premo for that "Dj Premier" sound....

and i found a link

“It’s a song that he actually produced and he wasn’t crazy about the track,” Premier says as he recalls the conversation between he and Em. “(I told him) as long as I can strip it clean and do what I do with your vocals it will be dope,” and the final result according to Premier? “It’s dope!”

The former Gangstarr producer explained that he thought the initial song Eminem did with his own production was great but Eminem called, wanting that “DJ Premier sound.”

I need to give Koolo a call
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

I wonder if KTTC would of been on King Mathers, and I wonder if it was a up tempo, dark, or just a chill type of track. Hope we get to hear it eventually. Never thought we would get Syllables and we did so hopes spring eternal.
