Em will release when hes finished, even if that means skylars and ems album within the same 2 weeks.
Maybe they push back skylars again if thats the case. But em doesnt adjust his shedule to no other artist, the other artists adjust.

Back to back affiliated albums is generally a bad business... more or less the distraction will decrease the hype. Skylar's album is gonna suffer a great deal if that happened... plus even though way less, Em's fans are gonna be kinda distracted too 'cuz of the fact he's an exec & a featured artist on her album as well.

Of course everybody else adjust their planning based on Em's schedule but Skylar been planned to release in July is just a piece of info that means Em's album won't be too close to the date they have picked for Skylar. It doesn't mean they'll push back Em's album 'cuz hers of course.

We'll have to wait & see if it sticks around though... she's been pushed back like twice already.

If it does stick around though then it'll make it a bit more complicated that it already is.

If anything I think she would sell better if Eminem releases before or just after her. Think about it. Eminem is on-top of the world like he is every time he releases his album, and in the media frenzy he says "Yo, checkout Skylers album". Everyone who follows Eminem would hear that, especially when it's at the height of his buzz.

She's not really his artist though. Sure she is part of Interscope, but she's with KIDinaKORNER not Shady. It's not really Eminems decision for when she gets her album released. If he'd chosen a date (before the mini-tour probably) and it interfered with her release, he could use his buzz to help her.

Definitely won't be competing of course... still the hype is gonna be distracted as it always happens when whatever new Eminem material comes. It is nearly impossible for those two albums to come in the same month or within a month... I can even guarantee you that.

The official press release from Interscope came out yesterday and says the album will be released on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope. No mention of Shady, only that Em is Executive Producing with Alex Da Kid: http://www.bizjournals.com/prnewswire/p ... 11/LA93541

Her facebook and website don't mention Shady and Shady Records twitter don't follow her. Maybe she's just doing the teamshady thing that people do on twitter, wants people to think she's on Shady, or nothing is official yet although I imagine they'd make it official before a press release right?

I imagine if she was going to release this on Shady all that would be finalized before a press release. The album doesn't come out for 3 months. No need to release any official dates now if you have pending label changes.
