Oh definitely, but while a fan might get the jokes he made about themes and topics that have spanned his career, they might not get why dying his hair blonde again was contradictory, or about how he's come off as Paul's little bitch. They might not understand why him not collaborating with Nas is a bad look, or how his screaming or food references started to make people frustrated when listening to his music. These are just a few things off the top of my head...
Instead, he went for the most public themes of Eminem's career, that recent, old, hardcore or casual fans could all recognize. He didn't hit them all, but he couldn't have in a decent amount of time. A more targeted video would have been better for us, no doubt, but with such a large base of people to appeal to, it makes sense to go for the wider approach.
