It proves that when you're freestyling, you're really only as good as your memory. Specifically memorizing all the rhymes you've written to fit the current scheme you're on.

But recreational drugs do not effect you when you are not on them. He wasn't sniffing coke in-between writing verses... I can even tell from the way he used to talk about E and shit that he wasn't even a big drug taker. He may have been a regular drug taker but not a big one.

He'd talk about popping 1 pill or some shit, I used to eat up like 5-14 E pills and Em didn't go through grams of coke per night etc.

He just popped some E at shows or did a bit of shrooms, or drank. That not result in an altered state or effect your brain or art to any degree, and certainly not what any of you are suggesting.

You think you can write with the precision and wit of his first three albums or any of his amazing prime free's whilst being on any of those things? If any of you do then you don't have much experience with them.

All of Eminem's prime dopeness = sober, sharp, ambitious Eminem. He is in no way fucked up or high, he would just do that at shows to tackle nerves. None of Em's early brilliance is from drugs. It comes from the fact he had a shit load to work with in terms of subject matter due to everybody coming at him and him being so new to world - but when that dies off, he starts to struggle and looks inward, and sometimes writes himself in to a corner... but that's a natural process of writing elimination, nothing to do with popping the odd E.
