It's probably one of the best songs ever written. It's just incrediable. I can't say if its the ultimate hiop hop song though cos i havn't heard every hip hop song in existance.

no doubts it's a great track. i remember listening to it like 10 times in a row lol probably every one has it's own point of view and for some of us it might be the best rap song ever, others will say it's not.. for me - i agree with Fordie. it has lyrics, emotions, storytelling, flow.. everything. it's not like it's the only one great song ever, it's sure there are more - you mentioned them. but you guys also said it's been commercialised - no wonder why it became so popular and well-know all around the world. we all know nowadays people wanna get money from everything..

i guess it all depends on the way we see it - Asp will hit us with 9856564 better songs - God or whoever else bless him for that, but a 14-yrs-old groupie will say it's the only song ever that should get time on radio..

it's the ultimate rap song for GENERAL type listeners

Reason: people who hate rap loved this song, people who hate eminem loved this song, people who loved rap loved this song... you CANNOT say that about any other rap song...

This is one of the best threads I think we've had in here. No bickering no hate, no groupie shit. Just good interesting debate on a hip-hop topic, without sarcasm or assholeness. People taking the other persons opinions, considering them, then expressing their own counter argument without attacking the others belief system. Was nice to read over it again, if there was a place for classic threads this would belong there. It stands as a good example of how to discuss on an interesting topic in a constructive friendly way.
