^ yeah true. I just think fans of em appreciate the skill he had back then, understand when it was made, what it was made with, and the budget he probably had, so like myself, I think most fans look at the rhyming and lyrics aspect a lot more than the actual production of it. And yeah his flow wasn't great, but for it's time, and even for now, I think it's pretty good. So yes, it is all a matter of opinion, with any form of music, and with most topics discussed here, people will love it and people will hate it. I think a lot has to do with people who loved em but never heard infinite either, to them it's like new shit, so it's better in that aspect and people remember that. So that might also factor in when people say if they like infinite or not.

^word man, but i don't hate it, i might not like it but not hate it. i mean i can still listen to it, and maybe enjoy it depending on my mood. cause when im happy (as in I've listened to great hip hop music at the time and just enjoy anything good "lyrically" if the production isn't good, but if it is than the content will be good too cause I'd be bumping classics anyways) i like to listen to oldschool shit, that oldschool rakim shit. microphone fiend ya feel me? :smoking:

Hell yeah man I feel where you're coming from. We all have times where bump old shit, that's kind of where I am now btw, looking into the older more pure artists from back in the day. Can always listen to that and just pretend it was made recently instead of this bullshit we're forced to accept as rap nowadays.

haha Im actually in the mood now, since you mentioned it. Ice Cubes first few albums > his recent albums. I just can't seem to understand why do rappers fall as times goes by. cause i really hate that with a passion, cause now days mainstream rappers (the new ones) already fell as they approached the mic with all there wack influences. but i guess its better to see someone fallen from the start than someone who flamed the mic from the beginning than fell at the end. that shit breaks your heart. can't believe some people are actually accepting the state of hip hop atm and encouraging it -_-
