What other, bigger satellite radio stations are there? The only equivalent would be either him buying his own station here in the US and paying shit tons of money to have it played all over the world, or him having like a Shade45 section of the day with a partnership with some station

Just because Sirius is filing for bankruptcy doesn't mean the end is coming. I forget where I was reading it, but during a normal (non-depression economy), apparently this type of things happen a lot, and companies just jump back up again.

Also, what is likely to happen is that another bigger company will buy Sirius and just simply keep/absorb the radio stations. I mean what's the point of letting all the things established go to waste? Most likely, it will not affect listeners/subscribers, but definitely those who are shareholders in the Sirius company.

I also heard one reason the company is losing money is because most of their radios are made buy people buying new cars and in this economy, car sales are down so that's another reason.

But if XM/Sirius is "going under" (which is more like going out of business) then it'll be pretty much the end of it. But you're right. Until it happens we don't know. Maybe if they stopped paying Howard Stern $100,000,000 (one hundred million dollars) every year they'd have a little more cash to throw around
