Why did Eminem.com used to portray eminem as a fat shit?

If any of you went on eminem.com like at any time of last year, on the slide show thing it showed em throughout all his points in his career. Then at the end, it shows him as a washed up fat dude up on stage, and then after that it shows him as a skeleton sitting in a chair with a sign that said "product". i never understood this, i used to just think the site wasnt official but now i can tell it obviously is. does anyone know the story behind this? cuz it doesnt make any sense 2 me

ive always wondered this and hated this site for having it. I never understood it and I dont think there is a true answer unless you get it from Em yourself. All i no is that Relapse is droping and i cant wait

Ehhh, I don't necessarily think it's a joke, as in HAHAHA. It's more like Em indirectly commenting on his career and life. That site changed when Curtain Call dropped and it followed the life of Eminem. And if you read Em's book The Way I Am, he explains that up until that point, he felt like his life was out of control. The whole "Product" thing and a fat Eminem was just sort of his way of stating what people were thinking. Ever since 8 Mile, Em had become this superstar, and he could have easily fed into the commercialism and just kept rapping until he was 60 years old and just make money, but he obviously didn't.

It's always been Em's style to make fun of himself and point things out about himself that others will try to use against him. I just think it's ironic that Em did get a little fat after that, but the video all tied into the Curtain Call theme and how he was "taking a break" for a little bit.
