Will shady 2.0 suffer same fate as...

Postby xnoxiousx » Mar 1st, '11, 01:19

Obie, Stat, and Ca$his only people on shady who ever made it was eminem and 50cent and only reason 50cent made it was because eminem mentored him so much.

Obie was far too successful to be mentioned in the same breath as Stat and Cashis. C'mon man.

I'm pretty sure Cashis is still on Shady Records.

And what do you mean Em kept "mentioning 50"? Obie was on TES and both 50 and Obie was on Encore. I know Em could've promoted Obie more than he did, but Obie doesn't have the interesting story, the Dre beats and the same hunger as 50 has/had.

50 > Obie in many ways.

And to answer your question, no I don't think "Shady 2.0" will have the same fate. :y:

I think Obie > 50, when it comes to lyrics. But Em definitely dedicated more time to 50, then again, his life story was more...intriguing. Shot nine fuckin times lol

And flow...

And delivery minus Power of the Dollar...

As an all around MC I'd take Obie over 50. 50 had perfect production and hooks for a while though.

Yeah, I can't say who's the best. But I'd take 50's first two albums over Obie's 7 days a week.

From what i can see and what yela, SH have said. em wants to be involved as much as possible with the projects and is really excited. And a chance for em to take hip hop to another level .Were as before the singing off bobby creekwater and stat were just to build up the shady records family that em went on a lot back then. Now its just about hip hop and movements.Plus we know yela and SH are dope already.

The difference now is that SH and YW have an established place in hiphop prior to Shady. They know how to work on their own. Picture this Shady deal like a nitrous boost up under their asses
i'm comin in, drivin my short bus
with this nose i don't need a torch up
bustin through, light the industry's porsche up
comin after who didn't support us...
imma change your brain bring
every wicked bit of strange to mainstream

Lmao@ 50 only making it because Em "mentored" him so much...
50 Had a huge bidding war to sign him when Em did...Eminem is lucky he got him...cuz he took less money to go with shady/aftermath....
50 had a crazy, mega buzz before Em ever signed him!...
Signing with Eminem definetly was a good thing for him and added to the buzz...But he would have more than "made it" with or without him....

Cashis said on twitter his album is ready and will probably drop soon(didn't mention a date).SH will probably have an album either this year or the next one.D12 album coming up by the end of the year.Yela's album didn't drop that long a go so he's probably gonna drop a new one this year or beggining of 2011..so yeah the future looks bright for Shady Records :)
PS:IS Fif still on SR?lol

50 would never be as big as he is if it wasnt for Em,never,he would be another Ja Rule,or some other "gangsta" rapper.Fifty was lucky cause he had both Em and Dre on his side.

No, probably not, since Em isn't drugged up anymore. Plus, these artists actually don't 100% rely on Shady Records like the rest of them did. Yelawolf already had a decent following beforehand, and the same with Slaughterhouse.
