There's no way Justin Bieber or Lady GaGa are anywhere near as famous as Eminem yet though.
If I asked the average person down the street... most in our age would know or have heard of them, but plenty of the older generation wouldn't have, my dad probably wouldn't have heard of Bieber...
Where as Eminem is firmly seared into the public's consciousness in a big way, across all ages.
