I kinda like it... because it's like he's in-character 24/7 when a camera is in front of him. You see behind the scenes shit like on sets or whatever where he's more relaxed etc...

But it's like he treats his every glance like a performance art where he needs to keep up this dark mean asshole mythical fucking machine kind of vibe, the hood constantly obscuring his face lately just adds to that I think.

Also, aside from him intentionally projecting and preserving an image, I think it's probably a bit of a tact now, to keep the real him at distance so that fans / the media are only ever interacting with a projection and he can try and keep his real life and self private. Which is why he just pops up in a hood, releases an album then goes back to the bat cave n shit.
