I waiting to buy the album to listen to these.
But, quick question. Does the award industry and critics who review albums take into account deluxe editions and bonus songs? Or is it strictly the 16 track version?

"Baby" is perfection of rapping. That style is fucking goat. "Groundhog Day" is amazing too.
I so wish that...
1. Baby opened or was 2nd perhaps...
2. Groundhog Day replaced Asshole.
3. Desperation replaced Monster.
Fuck. I can't believe how great these tracks are, fuckiiiing "Baby" man.
What'd you think of Beautiful Pain?
Listening again...
Good first impressions.
I can live with it not making the album but could have been another big pillar track...
The only ones which REALLY erk me @ not making it are "Baby"... and "Desperation" should have been in that Monster spot 110%, or "Beautiful Pain" in there... just either of them so much more deserve to be there and either of them could have been big hits too.

It certainly sounds like it could have been, I'm sorry you are disappointed.Horsebot3K wrote:Then again, that's what Evil Twin was.

It works after STIW, and offers a nice bridge between the dark sound of the former and the bounciness of So Far, but it just sounds wrong) and it would be perfect I think (maybe a few tweaks to the production to make everything flow a tiny bit better).
I actually really liked Asshole on first listen. No track except Love Game required more listens in order for me to really appreciate it.
It does remind me of MBDTF. Eminem has finally broken the glass ceiling. He's free of the shackles his golden-trinity contained him to, and he could easily work on a solo project (rather like a Yeezus project) left field of his previous albums, and have the credentials to back it up. I'd love to see him experiment more.
The bonus tracks are nice too. I'm not feeling them as much as the album itself, but I'm happy about this. I need to listen to them more in order to see what I think. There is a lot to take in.
Honestly, I really want this album to get rave reviews. Em deserves it.
The first third of the album is a psychotic head spin which upholds why the MMLP worked so well; the middle section cements his rap credentials before Eminem gets personal and reflects on his trials and his tribulations whilst poking fun at how his fame has got him to an awkward, almost comical, position. I love it.
The last two tracks work so well together as well. Eminem declares his love for his mum who really helped create his Evil Twin. It all comes full circle when it loops back to Bad Guy. I feel like Eminem dies in the Parking Lot Skit, and uses the rest of the album to reflect on his life.
Now I am rambling. I want to review this album properly, but I need it to sink in.
There is only one thing I ask for on it, and that is a Mike Dean guitar solo on STIW and then an outro.
Nice, I'm glad you liked it man.
