Well, can we at least come to the conclusion that he wrote a pretty shitty song?

I bet it would be a pretty good song with Dre, and Nate Dogg doing the chorus. And if Eminem rerecorded his verse.

Judging by this, Eminem has decreased even further in quality; and i will keep that belief, based on this, until he puts something even close to decent out.

Fuck all these supposed reasons you people are coming up with, another bad track was made; i don't care if you think it's a reject from Relapse, you don't know that. We must judge by the material we have, and so far it isn't looking good.

wooaaah thats way too negative dude, i judge artists on albums not leaked songs that probably isnt even his song but a dr dre song rapped by eminem to show dre how it flows

i agree its not a good track but it doesn't even look like it was an eminem track :confusion:

I agree with mat :smoking:

You would :shifty:

@ Matz: i don't care if you think it's negative, it's how i feel about it and that's what i'll say. If you don't like it, you know where you can go.

It'd probably come out good mastered and finished but ... not exactly ground breaking. When I heard "Queen gets the money" by Nas, that's how I want to feel when I hear new Em tracks/features. Forget about how they're not stylistically the same, good music is good music and Em hasn't put out a good track in a long long while.

Dre spoke to power 100, They played number one then dre phone'd in. They asked about eminem and the album, dre had no comment, but said the song number is actually not titled number 1 someone made that up, and it was suppose to be a detox track that eminem worked on, and dre was not sure how em wanted the flow, so em rapped dre's verses and sent it to dre via email. Dre said seems like someone got onto his email and started sending this song out. Dre said within Interscope is his guess, and he is not gona use this song now becuz of its early release and that its not completed.
source: power 100, LA radio Station.

I didn't actually hear it myself, so take it for what it's worth.

maybe, but in reality you can never tell how good it might sound after dre raps it, I know lyrics are a big part of the greatness of a song but you can't forget that eminem's writing on The Watcher or What's The Difference (for dre i mean) wasn't that amazing of lyrics but when dre put his vocals to them it sounded a lot better.

and its obvious eminem isnt going to go crazy on lyrics with dre.
im not good at putting this into words, but he does have to use a different flow for dre obviously and dumb down the lyrics, w/e if you want to admit it or not.

dont think so
Cuz we done swam with the sharks, wrestle with alligators
Spoke to a generation of angry teenagers
Whom if it wasn't for rap to bridge the gap
Maybe raised to be racist
Who may have never got to see our faces
Grace the cover of Rolling Stone pages
Broke down barriers of language and races

honestly if this track was released with dre rapping and em got the center with nate on hook, and it was 2001-2002 everyone would be like OH THIS track is amazing!

admit it.

i'm not fond of this track, but it's not finished and I dont measure the greatness of unfinished product... it's like testing out a condom without it finished so there's little wholes everywhere....

The hook is unbelievably catchy. One listen and I'm already humming it in my brain, that's evil. The versus are so-so, none of the three (on first listen) stood out as lyrically good, and it was very obvious all over the song, that this is not a finished version. I think if they finish this right though, and it comes out well, it could be a huge selling single. It's very poppy, but much better than that "Relapse" freestyle. I'm still hoping as are most, that he is keeping all his insanely good stuff, on a very tight leash. 'Cos if the album has more than two songs like this, I'm sick of it already.
