Exactly but people don't understand this. Eminem is trying to appeal to all of his fans, not just one part of it.

Of course it is... this is business. Plus it's about having multi platinum singles as well. An artist as big as Eminem needs songs like LTWYL up there with the best selling singles in the digital era & even though The Monster most likely won't sell that much or even won't get close to that, it's still necessary to have it on the album. Rap God is a masterpiece but it can't do what they want sales wise... even though it served its purpose in great manner.

He needs pop songs to stay relevant, just like all Musicians. Eminem has at least tried this time to give real hip hop fans material eg. Rap God.

It's not even relevancy in his case... way more complicated than that. It's dominance... if Em didn't adapt & didn't sell as he does it'd be presented like a total failure even if the album was a gem. It's even like the media would wait on that to capitalize on it.

Yeah, I just feel people are overreacting that's all.

They are... it's not a big deal anyway. It's a cycle that happens every other time... the good thing is this album is gonna splash like crazy on all fronts.
