Well I guess they'll get more active after the shows if they close in up until then... it'd be a problem if they don't though.

I don't know why you can't just go with the facts and wait without complaining. Eminem will be releasing a new album this year. That baseball cap said it (2013) and so did Paul, "We fully expect to be releasing a new Eminem album this year. " We know he's working on it so it should come as no surprise that there's nothing known about it as Eminem has always been super secretive about everything he does. I want the album to come out just as bad as the next guy but complaining about it only makes the wait that much worse. Just trust that Em knows what he's doing and honestly, I'd rather wait another year to get quality music from Eminem than something rushed.

The album will probably come out in either September or October with a single a week or two before the August shows. What better way to promote the album than performing JUST a new single at the shows? It makes perfect sense.

On the flip-side, Kanye's album literally had one month of promotion. There is no denying that if Em's team stepped up their marketing strategy that they could achieve a similar buzz (Kanye never sells big in relation to Eminem, but already he has created a unique hype for his current project).

I guess there's a chance he just doesn't know much info about the album... it just seems stupid to do a bunch of concerts with songs from three years ago when he could use the opportunity to promote the new album.

Just a part of the European market would be a secondary thing if they bothered to promote an album.

Like I've said before those two business ventures have nothing to do with to one another but can easily go along in the same period of time... it'd be a totally different thing if it was about a full American tour or at least like a good number of shows in America.
They book summer shows in Europe & they work on finishing Em's album in the same period of time... two different business ventures that go along. As simple as that.

Not really Francesco. Ever since his comeback, Eminem has always priviliged his European fans by touring there way more than in the US.

The Recovery Tour started in Europe and one of the reason why Em is still relevant to this day is because he's as big as he is both worldwide and in the US. (that sentence doesn't make sense but you get the point) and thus it would be pretty stupid of him to play an old setlist in Europe again.. Recovery is still selling but it doesn't need a push or anything.

I still think we might get the album like August 6th or August 13th.
