I think if he had replaced Berzerk with Monster then I would have felt better about it..

The thing is, Berzerk was used in those snippets and the VMA announcement
They couldn't have done this with The Monster for obvious reasons

well then leave Monster off the CD then. That isn't an excuse to just throw another song like this in there. It's just an obvious play by Interscope to try and attract as many non-rap fans as they can.

That would be awesome :flutter:
They already had Bezerk and Survival, The Monster wasn't necessary tbh
I actually though his ''second'' season would be something dark like SFTMoment and The Way I Am :facepalm

Em lost his touch for a good beat, releveant reference, and a good Fucking song overall.
Like, Love the Way You Lie shits on this as far as a serious song that adresses certain issues, goes.
LTW you Fucking Lie, the most annoying hook of all time.

This is a forced, not at all needed piece of Pop crap.

I mean does he really love his bitches on hooks so much ...
The only thing I fear is that Headlights will be some inspirational Lighters pop bullshit. ( That Bruno hook was thight though ).

How could He become a Pop God after Rap God, call this a hella way to fuse it.

This.

Even with the average or weak shit on REL, REC, HTS....there was a ton of good shit. I mean the last two years, Idk what the fuck he's thinking in regard to his flow.

He has completely lost to the ear for the music, or at least it seems like it. It started with Recovery, where only about 6-7 songs had good production, still there was at least tolerable production on that album, and only a few tracks with complete and utter garbage production. And his flow, though people here hated it, was still dope. I mean listen to Cold Wind Blows, On Fire, GTC, Seduction, No Love verse, Space Bound, Ridaz, Session One, So Bad, Almost Famous, Untitled, or fuck even Cinderella Man or WTP.....and listen to how he's rapping now. He sounds all over the fucking place all the fucking time, and the only time it works is Rap God, because it's just supposed to be a showcase of crazy lyrical ability.

Look....maybe the album will come and everything else will be dope....but when 3 out of 4 aren't very good or range from average to utter shit, it's not a good sign. All 4 have weak ass production, with Berzerk having an OK beat I guess.

I mean Survival was a video Game song, forced pump up anthem for CoD fans.
I could tolerate it because it was a good song, but it was on the tracklist, so I was kinda dissapointed.

Now this, ONLY for sales. Don't give us that "its Eminem he doesn't need that to sell" bullshit because it is sell-out and you know its true. I mean for fucks sakes, Rihanna again.

One would think he made enough money, but noo, lets name the album the Marshall Mathers LP 2, one of the best albums ever, make my poppiest single and then yodell and count sheep on it.
Its like Em is the jew, not his manager.
Like he needs to prove everybody the key to rap immortality by making these kinds of songs.
That he is releveant and young again, so he will be all over the track, so you can't fucking understand a word that he says.
Oh well, the Typography video for Rap God is out, it is awesome. A great distraction from this below-average song ( at best ).

I just wish Em would or could make an album with production from himself, Dre, Porter, than maybe some tracks with Alchemist, Premier, No ID, etc. Only straight hip hop producers. Flow like he does on Underground, Beautiful, Deja Vu, On Fire, Untitled, Ridaz, So Bad, GTC, Seduction, etc. Have some emotional tracks obviously, but don't over do it. But if he did that, made a real hip hop album with him spittin, it would still sell 2 million copies at least, probably 4-5 million worldwide and sell 600K+ first week most likely. I mean Rap God isn't a radio friendly song, and it debuted at 7. And it would shut the critics up.

I had to listen from 2004-2007 how Em fell of big time, and he had. But he was still capable of making some good tracks while he was on drugs, even if his lyricism was simplified. He still was capable of making stuff like Yellow Brick Road, Lke Toy Soldiers, Mosh, Never Enough, Spend Some Time, Mockingbird, No Apologies, When I'm Gone, etc.

Than when he got off drugs, from 2009-2011 I still had to listen to how he's fallen off, though he's better than the drugged up era. And he wasn't quite the same, but his lyricism was back at the top and he was the best rapper alive IMO.

Now....in 2012-2013, I don't know about his flow at all anymore. I really don't. He's all over the fucking place all the time.

But his ear for production, his flow the last two years, it's like what the fuck is going on???

Do you think he's going to shoot a video for this song too? It would be stupid to not to since it was made for the radio.

If Relapse 2 would have been stuff like Elevator, Music Box, Drop the Bomb On Em, i think it would have been better than Relapse was, IMO.

I just can't explain how derailed my hype for the album is compared to what it was after seeing the first few trailers back in August before Berzerk came out.

Definetly man.
He is so fucking talented, that even washed up he still got it.

But I am starting to doubt the album as a whole.
It will have a few gems with some more Rap God types of songs, but I was expecting him to do a dark song with Rihanna, and actually revisit the MMLP on every fucking song.

But he decided for some shitty beats, anthems, all over the place flow.
Lyrically, he is still top noch, but the fact that He thinks these kinds of songs ( with pop hoes on hooks ) are good, are a obvious indication of falling off and selling out.
Sometimes he evolves as an artist and gives us great mature songs like on Recovery, but I highly doubt this was necceseary.

Well since the monster is about the trappings of fame then what is headlights gonna be about? He sutrely can't do two songs about the same subject on one album. Headlights of a car, from the parking lot skit...?

Sounds more like 'Rap Employee' than 'Rap God' with this embarrassment of a track.

In all seriousness this is fucking garbage. I mean its aight in a commercialized, appeal to the same faggets that liked Love The Way You Lie way. But in terms of hip hop, its wack as fuck.

This might be the first time im agreeing with the masses that this album is going to be sub par. Not that I thought it was going to be a classic but now its like ill be happy with a 5/10. 3 out of the 4 tracks released have ZERO replay value. My last hope is that he's saving all the ill shit for when the album drops. Slim chance of that happening but we'll find out in less than a week anyway.

2 milktoast pop songs, a Beastie Boys carbon copy and a lyrical beasting. It could have went either way after hearing Rap God.

This track just took a giant cancer shit on my expectations though. Prepare yourselves for Recovery 2.

The worst part about this whole debacle is he doesn't even have to go this gay ass Recovery 2 route this album seems to be heading. He could just get Alchemist, Premo, Large Pro, No ID, Dre, etc to lace beats for this and make a straight up hip hop album. The skill is still there (see Rap God) but seems like the motivation isn't. Or maybe now that hes off the drugs he's become a soft ass 'yes man' to his label.

Still LOL at this shit being called MMLP2. The dude who made MMLP would spit on this dude making songs specifically to appeal to females and kids under the age of 15.
