trigger your starting to piss me off mate, people are aloud their opinions.

So I'm not allowed my opinion? I think both are great, and I'm not gonna waste my time saying "Recovery has this that Relapse didn't" and vice versa

I wasn't even putting anyone's opinions down. I'm putting down the people who constantly bitch about everything Em does, never happy with what he's doing at the moment. If you don't like Em now, then stop listening, and stop saying people are stupid for liking something that they don't. Like a select few on here

I accept everyone's opinions and take them all into account, as long as their opinions are backed by good arguments. I'm one of the more understanding people on here. I like Roman's Revenge, and others don't, and every time I say this I add "but I understand why people wouldn't like it"

Don't be mad, bro, it'll be fine :thumbsup2:

relapse fuckin trumps recovery.... never thought id say it

I'll tell you when relapse came out i was disappointed. But for all the WRONG reasons.

I realize now, that i was disappointed because it wasn't what i was EXPECTING to hear. Well i basically set myself up to be disappointed, by having these expectations of what i THOUGHT it should sound like.

Well truth is... the more time has passed, the more and more respect i have for relapse. It is a fuckin BADASS album WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY ahead of its time. WAYYY WAYYY WAYY ahead of its time.

Now that recovery has been out, and i can listen to the both of them... Im actually heavily disappointed with recovery... There really isnt a single song from recovery that i still listen too... and im not sure that i will ever listen to anything from it again(on purpose)

He basically chopped his balls off and gave them to the critics. Its sad because it goes against everything that eminem has stood for, or represented. Everyone criticized relapse, and mostly had negative things to say.. because no one understood it. Eminem took EVERYTHING that was said to heart... all the things people complained about, he changed... everything.

It may take some time, but the true fans will realize relapse is nothing but a classic. Honestly in my opinion ONE of his best albums ever. It could never compete with TES or MMLP or SSLP... but it doesn't have too! its NOT supposed too! Its a completely different album... it belongs in its own catagory.

For me, i can't chose one album over another... between tes, mmlp, sslp, and relapse... They all belong among his best work... but all for different reasons. I could never put them in order from best to worst... its not possible. They are all equally great in their own ways.

He took a big chance with relapse... and most people have yet to understand it, or appreciate it. In time, people will realize what a genius he is, and how incredible the album REALLY was.

As far as recovery goes? its a plane jane... nothing stands out about it.. nothing. once again, thats against everything that he stands for... with this album, he just blends into the wood work. But yet, the people rant and rave about it.... but do those people really have any idea why they like it? Do they have any clue? Or do they just like it because its "normal" and "expected"?

Haha, Em didn't sell out. Em doesn't care about the critics, he was listening to the fans. He DEDICATES Not Afraid to the fans. He doesn't come on TR Shady and see his hardcore fanbase loved Relapse, but globally, Relapse was ill received by both critics and fans

He chose strange beats that he usually doesn't choose, and THAT'S the main reason why people don't like it, if they don't like it. His lyrics are still 100% Eminem. Not Slim Shady, but Eminem, this is a predominately Eminem album, with some hints of that Shady craziness. People said the exact same thing about TES, but TES is widely received as a great album.

Relapse is brilliant, and it's lyricism FAR surpasses Recovery's. But Recovery is great for what it is, and as an album I prefer Recovery. People can like both Relapse and Recovery, it doesn't really have to be one or the other. Doesn't HAVE to be a constant showdown between the two

I've ALWAYS seen Relapse as somewhat of a SSLP part 2
Recovery KINDA reminds me of TES, but Recovery has it's own style
