Real talk about Relapse, that shit was garbage.
Beautiful, Deja Vu, Same Song & Dance, and Stay Wide Awake were the only good songs.
Thank fuck Marshall saw sense, and dropped a modern classic like Recovery.

They can't be fucking serious?![]()
Relapse was the highest selling album of 2009. Only second to Susan boyle.
Plus, didn't Beautiful & We made you made the top 20 of Billboard? Fuck those fuckers!

"sold a disappointing 2 million." I love how selling 2 mill is disappointing just because he didn't sell like 20 mil like he did with TES. 2 mil for an artist is still good. I would say 5 mil and up is great, but so is 2 mil. anyways, just noticed that and wanted to comment on it.
But I love Space Bound as a single.
EminemBase wrote:Yeah that was a stupid statement.
It was one of the highest selling albums of the year, and the 2nd biggest 1st week sales of the year. They call anything disappointing if it doesn't match the first two, which is just ridiculous.
Of course nothing will match them as he was NEW, lmao. It was the element of surprise. Just like a TV pilot gets 15 mill then it drops off as the seasons go on. A lot of people check it out, out of curiosity then tune out if they dislike it, it's not rocket science.
2 million, at this stage and at this state of the industry 'disappointing'

Crack A Bottle was also number 1 on the Billboard and ITunes. Why does it feel like the public is trying to fabricate a "history" for Em's music.
Regardless of what you think of Relapse, people are pretending he came back only to fall off the earth with that album, and then labeling Recovery as his big "redemption" where he realizes his flaws, deals with them and now is trying to help everybody blah blah blah cleans the slate, time to start new etc. and everyone loves him. Its fucking fake.
* Relapse was a #1 album, and sold 610,000 copies in it's first week. (USA)
* Relapse reached #1 in 11 different countries.
* Relapse was the highest selling hip-hop album of 2009.
* Relapse has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide.
* Relapse contained a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100
It also contained another top 10 single (We Made You) and a further top 20 single (Beautiful - #17)

For most music artists in the world today....those achievements for an album would be considered fucking amazing.
