I still think this is a classic though.

How the fuck can you be preferring the delivery and new non-structured flow of Recovery more than the flawless smooth effortless magnificent second-to-none amazing sick dope ill incredible creative innovative technical spectacular flow of SSLP. How come you not like it more than Recovery? Fuck your opinion, SSLP is the best album ever made, I know it musically sucks and it's not appealing to anybody but it fucking rocks, best Eminem album, no doubt. Your opinion is invalid.

If you didn't catch the sarcasm in this post, you're an idiot.

How does it "musically suck?"

Oh, I know..."WAaaaaaah, where's da mainstream production valuez?!?! I don't hear dose bumpin West Coast style beats, theze beats is whaaaack! N Eminem's voice iz like higher pitched n shee-it, he ain't usin da angry voice, so dis meanz it's not good!"

That's basically the answer to the OP in a nutshell. SSLP is basically an underground album that went mainstream. The mainstream fans want to hear style/volume over substance. Subtlety is lost on them. They want big, booming production and noise. SSLP is too underplayed for them to appreciate.

These are the types of people who think a sitcom is funnier if they hear more canned laugh tracks added in. "Two & a Half Men was the FUNNIEST SHOW EVAH! Charlie Sheen is an IDIOT for dissing da writingz."

These are the types of people who go to the movie theaters and think a movie is an ALL TIME GREAT if it has tons of SPECIAL EFFECTZ and ACTION SCENEZ. Fuck yo writing and acting and plotz, yo!

These are the types of people who need 18 spoons of sugar in their coffee instead of 2 (not that I drink coffee). They think Dane Cook is a great comedian. They drink bottled water and use words like "creepy" and comment on Youtube videos in leet speak.

They can lick my ass.

Lello wrote:Illmatic is crap compared to SSLP tbh (not saying illmatic is crap), SSLP shits on every rap album ever created, whether it's lyrically (rhyming or word choice), whether is beats-wise, whether it's flow and delivery, to me in every aspect, SSLP is the personification of perfection when it comes to rap!

not a single bad song, and the song some ppl just love to hate and I'd still can't find the reason why, My Name Is, is one top-notch song

-It has perfect rhyming
-it has some of em's wittiest lines
-it's funny as fuck

I can't see anything wrong with the song except the chorus can get a little bit repetitive

Illmatic had more matured content don't you think ?

I thought you implied that... cause I didn't get the point of your question

well, the answer is yes, illmatic has more mature content... it's still nothing compared to sslp :D

Yeah !
But i won't say it's nothing ,i mean c'mon it was a stepping stone in his career in the same way "SSLP" was for Eminem ,not only that both albums were a landmark in the history of "Hip-Hop/Rap".

I love the CD it's hard to decide between it and TES as the 2nd best Em CD
his flow on the album is flawless, and the beats are great. :worship:
"'Till Hell Freezes Over" should've been on it, though

Of course it does. Dividing your text in paragraphs helps you not look retarded.

Define "mature."

It seems people wish to refer to Eminem's content as "immature" just because he rapped in a sort of "kid" voice, told some wacky/cartoonish stories, and pushes some buttons.

That doesn't make it immature. It's like calling "South Park" immature. When you have content with the adult themes and undertones, done in such an intelligent manner, it's really the furthest thing from "immature."

And the fact that so much of SSLP was black comedy...this album is NOT for younger audiences.

First i did not say that "SSLP" is an immature album .

Second as you said here
When you have content with the adult themes and undertones, done in such an intelligent manner, it's really the furthest thing from "immature."

this is what makes Eminem so special .

Third by saying "more matured" i was talking the tone of both albums .

Cum On Everybody is a filler song, no matter what anyone says.

TES is far better than SSLP.
