I would bet on the album being rock influenced.

that's why I didn't want rick to be involved in this album, the snippets and survivval are already rock influenced :y:

Second, i just started reading alot of literature about his creative process. This is the clearest sign yet that Eminem handled the majority of production. The guy don't know how to work instruments! Lol. And, that is an awesome thing.

This doesn't mean anything.

Rick Rubin is actually great but doesn't it mean it'll be rock influenced too much? :zipped:

i think it does. Eminem has always chosen his production depending on what he wants to do at that point. Dr Dre was brought in for Relapse so that he could mentor him on how to rap and be good again. Just Blaze was brought in so that he could focus on the writing and delegate production. I think the fact that Rick spent 2 MONTHS WORKING on the album is evidence of Eminem's heavy involvement production wise. This guy does not baby sit you while writing down songs. He comes in when you got stuff down and then helps you make a concise effort.

Rick Rubin is given credit for being a master at helping artists and bands strip down their sound to the essence of what makes them sound good. He also encourages artists to record songs from outside of their typical musical genre to stretch their range and create something unique by making the song their own.

He's amazing and I'm pretty sure the album will be too
I researched a little bit of his career and he's truly a legend
Glad to see Em reached out to someone big to develop something huge

not really when Rick was pretty much the founder of Def Jam and discovered LL and the Beasties. Yet again he's an expert in all genres imo and if he's adds a rock edge all I can think of is that almighty 99 Problems :D

and to top it all off he looks like Jesus on crack
