2. Good concepts
3. Unforgiving content
4. No compromise

Yes, I know they have Em which helps elevate it to classic status for a debut group effort.

Not one single person outside of this place would ever...........ever call Devils Night a classic.

Seriously??? You put Devils Night as an album next to classics like Cypress Hill, E 1999 Eternal, Grip it on that other level, The Score, License to Ill, Pauls Boutique, Things Fall Apart, 3 Feet High and Rising, Yo um rush the Show, Nation of millions to hold us back, fear of a black planet, Peoples Instinctive Travel...Paths of Rhythm, Midnight Marauders, Straight outta Compton, 36 Chambers, Raising Hell, and the list goes on???

Not even close. Ems work on the album is superb, but the album is not a classic. No fucking way in hell. Classics are either so dope you have to call them classics, an example for me would be Eminem Show or Jays Black Album, or they changed the fucking game. They were innovative, something no one had seen, and raised the bar in hip hop and/or changed the game forever. Something like that would be Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic, SSLP, MMLP for me.

Devils Night isn't close to a classic album, it's a dope album, with superb work from Em.

Shut the fuck up, as if you know what everyone outside this forum thinks. Fuckin' loser, I know a lot of people in real life that still spin DN and love it. As far as I'm concerned, I haven't seen an album like DN so use your own logic and fuck yourself loose with it.

Wow, calling someone a loser on the internet and telling me to shut the fuck up, wow what a guy.

I spin Devils Night at least once a month.....doesn't make it a classic. Classics are something either completely undeniably amazing or something that transcended, changed the game, and lives on for many years as a great album. Devils Night is a good album, not a classic. I've literally never met anyone who called it a classic, or Relapse, aside from this forum, which I've seen either overrates things terribly or underrates them as well.

Devils Night was dope, but there was NOTHING original about it whatsoever, and it didn't transcend the game at all. It was basically D12's version of MMLP, with some dope stuff from Em, and yeah that's about it.

Can't believe how many people are putting Slim Shady EP so high up in their lists.

Tracks 1 & 5 are skits. Tracks 3, 4, 6, 9 & 10 are versions of SSLP songs, which just leaves three actual songs; Low Down, Dirty, No One's Iller & Murder, Murder. All great though I must admit

1. "Intro (Slim Shady)" (skit)
2. "Low Down, Dirty"
3. "If I Had..."
4. "Just Don't Give a Fuck"
5. "Mommy" (skit)
6. "Just the Two of Us"
7. "No One's Iller"
8. "Murder, Murder"
9. "If I Had..."
10. "Just Don't Give a Fuck" (radio edit)

Why the fuck do you think you have some magic power on what is a classic or not? To some people it might be undeniably amazing, and I am almost certain others have taken from D12, this means it has affected the game.

Just because you disagree doesn't mean you have to call them out on it. Imo it was a damn near classic.

Revelation,Instigator,Pistol Pistol,Fight Music, Girls andShit Can Happen were all very good songs.

Well, I took into account all of the songs since SSEP is recorded before SSLP. I don't see the logic in taking some songs out when they are the original ones. Nevertheless, even if I count only the three songs you have stated it would still be high in my list. It's the quality that matters, not the quantity.

I don't think people on here understand what classic is or means.

Just because Scorsese made great movies in Gangs of New York or The Aviator doesn't make them classics like Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Goodfellas, etc.

Slim Shady LP is like Taxi Driver.
Marshall Mathers LP is like Raging Bull.
Eminem Show is like Goodfellas.

Devils Night is like Casino. A good one but not on the level of the classics.

I hope Em comes with his version of The Departed with MMLP2. After many years, people doubted whether or not Scorsese could make another truly great film, Casino/Gangs of NY/Aviator were all good but didn't match his classics, than he came with Departed and proved everyone wrong.

It's been many years since Ems last classic, and while he's had good or decent albums since, we don't know if he can match his earlier work and make another classic.

Sorry for the Eminem Scorsese rambling, I've wanted to compare them since they're my 2 favorites.

But I've never met anyone who said Devils Night or Relapse is a classic, never, aside from here.

I mean seriously, can you really compare Devils Night as an album to Cypress Hill, E 1999 Eternal, Grip it on that other level, The Score, License to Ill, Pauls Boutique, Things Fall Apart, 3 Feet High and Rising, Yo um rush the Show, Nation of millions to hold us back, fear of a black planet, Peoples Instinctive Travel...Paths of Rhythm, Midnight Marauders, Straight outta Compton, 36 Chambers, Raising Hell,

Just because you never met anyone ( which is weird, I have met many ) who disagrees with you IRL, doesn't make those who do disagree wrong.

It's Opinion.

No doubt, it's all opinions. But when I stated earlier this month that I felt Recovery was better than Relapse, and that it was wayyyyy overrated on here, I was called a fucking idiot and told to leave the forum and shit. So what is it on here???

Calling Devils Night a classic is like calling Kill Bill 1 or 2 a classic Tarantino film or something. It's good, but I couldn't wrap my head around anyone calling it that.

Why is it that every thread I go to, there's an argument built on opinions? At least I'm not in this one.

The people who hurled abuse at you were fucking idiots, then. It's still opinion, though. There is no right or wrong when we are talking about this.

I was called an idiot for saying Relapse felt uninspired to me, and it was by a well respected member here.
