Relapse is very dark and MMLP2 is very happy.

I think a better question would be MMLP2 vs SSLP. MMLP2 this time.

MMLP 2 is nostalgic, angry, poignant, inspiring and lyrically intricate. Relapse has that unique sound throughout - it's like a film on a CD - but it's one colour throughout (disregarding Beautiful and CAB which aren't 'Relapse' songs).

I think both achieved their aims but MMLP 2 had more ambitious aims and I think in time will be more widely appreciated. I think he captured Marshall Mathers, Slim Shady and Eminem as he is today, in this album.

I love them both though.

Even if i'm almost sure MMLP2 is better album than Relapse, I'll give it a month to compare it more objectively.

I still prefer Relapse over MMLP2. It appealed to me more.

MMLP2 easily

In 10 years MMLP2 will be a classic, that Relapse will never become. Ever. Just look. If Em didn't release Recovery after Relapse, people would't consider Relapse as such a great/classic album. They'd still hate accents, content and shit. You consider Relapse as a good/classic/masterpiece because you've lived for 3 years without a solo album and played the shit out of it. You wanted to find another classic and Relapse was the best album for it.

I bet if he released an album after Recovery on Encore level, in 2 years people would find classic in Recovery.
