Can't say which one I love the most between SSLP, Relapse and MMLP2 ... So I can't vote right now.

People on this site don't seem to fully understand how great Slim Shady LP is.

I like Marshall Mathers LP 2 as much as the next guy on here, but it's not touching his first three still. And he never will IMO. But it's his best since then, and is a very good album IMO.

MMLP2 is good, but SSLP. Nothing will beat his 'holy trinity' in music.

I mean there's way too many classic cuts on SSLP to put MMLP2 ahead of it. And SSLP didn't have stuff as weak as The Monster and Survival.

I think it'd be more compelling if this were the track list, IMO

1. Bad Guy
2. Parking Lot
3. Rhyme or Reason
4. So Much Better
5. Groundhog Day
6. Legacy
7. Baby
8. Berzerk
9. Rap God
10. Brainless
11. Stronger Than I Was
12. So Far...
13. Desperation
14. Love Game
15. Headlights
16. Evil Twin

And these were the bonus cuts

17. Asshole
18. Beautiful Pain
19. Wicked Ways

I wasn't feeling Survival or The Monster as far as the album as a whole whatsoever.

If I had is fucking great, IMO.

My Fault is the worst on the album and it's still a 6/10 song. Survival and The Monster, c'mon.

Not to mention the classic cuts like Guilty Conscience, Brain Damage, 97 Bonnie & Clyde, Role Model, Rock Bottom, Just Dont Give a Fuck, Bad Meets Evil, Still Dont Give a fuck.

You guys are letting new Em material blind you. MMLP2 is DOPE, only a few weak tracks and a meh track here or there. But it's not touching his first three and he never will. It shits all over Relapse, Recovery, and Encore though.

Still, ya'll are acting like SSLP doesn't have atleast 1 or 2 weak songs. Every album has them, even MMLP1. People would never admit that an Em album is better than his first 3 since there is that nostalgia factor. Every album can be topped. Don't act like Em isn't a better rapper than back in the day. Sure, he might have lost his touch musically but he only got better when it comes to the technical aspect of his rap. He could go back to his old writing style, add some great storytelling in there with great concepts and there you have it.

It's not about what songs are on the album and which songs aren't, it's about what makes the strong songs so good.

Listen to MMLP 2 - notice the choppy flow and some bad punchlines. Listen to SSLP - notice the normal flow and little to no bad punchlines.

Notice how he isn't so considered with rhyme schemes on SSLP but he really is on MMLP 2. That's what makes SSLP > MMLP 2.

His flow, though still pretty good, isn't as good as it was on his first three. But it doesn't ruin anything by any means. The level of perfection achieved on his first three is too much to compete with.

The flow argument is stupid imo. It's clear that the choppy flow is on purpose thus making it a great flow for what it is. This boils down to what you prefer. We all know he could use flows like back in the day but he refuses to. He has always said that he wants to sound different, that includes flows too.

I'll take his flow know over the accents and screaming for screaming sake.

C'mon man. Even you have to admit Em delivered a pretty damn good album on this one.

Bad Guy, Rhyme or Reason, So Much Better, Legacy, Baby, Groundhog Day, Brainless, Wicked Ways, So Far, Love Game, Headlights, Evil Twin. He's got everything on this album though. That classic Shady humor, anger, and just don't give a fuck type of stuff, as well the emotional stuff.

It's defintiely an 8-8.5 out of 10 album. Better than anything Jay has done since AG and I'll go back and listen to AG this week, may be better than anything Jay has done since Black Album.
