What's odd to me is that MMLP2 (or shit, even the first MMLP) is G-rated compared to Relapse, which is by far the most lyrically explicit album Em ever put out. As much as I love Relapse, I have to admit that even I feel conflicted at times over listening to some of those lyrics, yet there wasn't the slightest bit of controversy over Relapse. MMLP2's lyrics are cleaner than Recovery's, but everybody's pitching a bitch over it. I don't get it. Does the world stop paying attention to him when he isn't blonde?

Relapse isn't that explicit if you're just talking about how much he curses. MMLP2 has many more by far.

Both my mom and sister both mentioned the controversy. What's different about this album then the last couple?

This album is probably causing more of a stir because it's better than the last two, period.

His rapping on Recovery sounded unpleasant with the yelling. He was rapping in an accent on Relapse so nobody took the fag bashing seriously.

With this one...he's using his cool Westwood 2010 delivery on a lot of songs and sounds like his old self at times. That's why more people are talking about the lyrics now and it's why far more people were discussing his lyrics at the start of his career.
