None. Relapse and Recovery both have bright spots, but there are glaring flaws that bring both projects down. Encore is one of the worst albums put out by a credible lyricist ever, and MMLP2 is solid.
4 out of 7 ain't bad.

That's the one good part about Encore. Even though he was babbling like an idiot, the production and overall way he approached the content was the closest we got to an "Eminem" album.

I think he recaptured that with 90% of MMLP2. It sounds like Eminem again, in the sense that the songs sound unique to him. You wouldn't hear Jay or Nas on records that Em was on back in the day. The same applies to most all of MMLP2.

4Corners with the win.

People call it a dope album but it really doesn't get its due for being so conceptually amazing, and the artistic heights it pushed things toward. It's so much more than just a 'great album'...
And I don't see it mentioned that often by 'heads when mentioning all-time albums. Partially I think because they feel cooler in hating Eminem now / don't want to sound predictable by mentioning one of his albums, but MMLP is absolutely right up in that top 5 zone. Incredible work.

But you wouldn't agree that his MOST underrated work is Relapse?
I agree with you though, people don't give MMLP enough credit.
4Corners wrote:Encore is underrated though. Yeah it's his worst album. It had 4 of the worst songs he's ever officially released....but it still had these which were all great, real good, solid, etc.
