I heard of Eminem in 5th grade, and the song My Name Is. But I hadn't actually heard that song or any other Eminem song until 6th grade. People would talk about him in class and I tried listening to the radio, but his songs never came on. Eventually I just went to Wal-Mart and bought The Slim Shady LP. That might've been the first time I heard his stuff. So I guess 1999-2000. Over the past few years though I haven't been much of the fan I used to be.

Started buying his CDs when Without Me came out, but it took a while for me to appreciate the rest of the tracks on them that weren't singles. Until earlier this year, my music tastes (in rap at least) were mostly Shady/Aftermath artists, so thankfully I've expanded my horizons.
