Was it a beef or something?
I've never heard of that actually.. tell me more please
It was sort of. Wahlberg hasn't been in the music business since the mid '90s. Eminem was appearing on TRL, one of his first appearences on their and Wahlberg was on, they were on stage at the same time along with Carson Daly and Eminem joked, we're all a funky bunch LOL or something to that extent, kind of joking about Wahlberg's music career. MW as a teen beat up a lot of kids from different ethnicities then from himself- mostly blacks and puerto ricans. That's basically it. Wahlberg said in an interview later on down the line that he listens to Eminem's music and likes his sh*t, but he also said this about movies and Eminem:
"Hollywood hunk Mark Wahlberg has slammed Eminem, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck for giving a false impression of tough, impoverished childhoods in their music and films. The Planet Of The Apes star has lambasted Damon, his co-star in new movie The Departed, for romanticizing difficult upbringings in Good Will Hunting, his debut film with Affleck. Wahlberg - who blames his assault conviction 17 years ago on his harsh childhood - has also attacked rapper Eminem for idealizing his difficult formative years in his biopic 8 Mile, in an interview with Details magazine. The 33-year-old actor complains, "My childhood wasn't like some 8 Mile bulls**t where you go and have a rap-off. Or like West Side Story, where you all start dancing and s**t. If I make a film about my upbringing it's going to be about more than a f**king kid doing math, like in Good Will Hunting, you know what I mean?"
What an asshole- he won't accept responsibility and admit he was a punk, loser and a piece of shit as a kid. He still is white trash. But yeah, that's pretty much it. Not really beef, just more or less a comment here and their along with the Eminem line & ad-lib in Drug Ballad.
