Eminem's 'Beautiful' music video

I sort of got the feeling that maybe Em didn't really want to make Beautiful a single. He was just sorta forced into it 'cause it made the most sense, being radio friendly and would have that crossover appeal.

I don't mind the concept of the video. If he wants to make it about Detroit, great. I think it's a touching ode to his city, and dammit, we all know Em loves his city. I just don't understand why they cut out the third verse. Paul Rosenberg said the reason was to have television-friendly-length. Who even watches videos on TV anymore? And this is Eminem we're talking about, the man who made Stan, a fuckin' 7 minute long video.


I don't know... I just get the vibe that Em didn't really wanna make a video for Beautiful to begin with, especially since he wrote it when he was in that dark place and whatnot...

agreed. but, i thought there was like a longer version of the video coming out? because, paul calls it the "radio-version," as if there's another version.

i actually thought the same lol.. i was like wtf? isnt this missing a verse..

I pretty much agree with everyone else said, and I def think he was pushed to have this be a single, even tho its dope, because he wrote this at a bad time in his life, and wtf would they cut the 3rd verse, just cut the talking at the end, that was a really dumb thing to do

I respect Eminem love for Detroit... and I did get the video is not irreverent to the lyrics its a sort of metaphor but wtf... why did they cut out the last verse n outro

Honestly, why I first saw the video to me it was like just fine... but it seems like non-Eminem fans love the video... today I showed the video to my cousins, I was like probably you wont like the video but just have a look, they were like the video is awesome... and same reaction I got from my friends...

they kept the outro to "Lose yourself" where he says "you can do anything you set your mind to man" so they coulda at least kept the outro on "beautiful" i think its really powerful stuff, and so is the 3rd verse, confusing hopefully the radio will play the full version
