The whole idea of putting his childhood home on the first MMLP album cover was that so much of the content on the album focused on his upbringing; his childhood, growing up in a broken home, family issues, etc.. So it was only appropriate for the cover to show Em sitting on the porch of his childhood home...where most of it all happened... as it gave the listener an even closer, in-depth look into Em's life. Because the album was so personal, the cover seemed almost eerie if you were to look at it while listening to the music. That being said, I have mixed emotions about putting the house on the cover again. I get it...it shows how much the house has changed since 2000 and appears in even worse shape than it did when the first MMLP was released. But if the content on the album doesn't fit the cover like it did on the first album, then the album already lacks authenticity. It's bad enough he dyed the hair back blonde so people would hop back on the "SHADY'S BACK" bandwagon, but with a first single like "Berzerk" and an indisputable sub-par past few years, it's only natural for a true Eminem fan to question the legitimacy of the album title and now the album artwork.. I hope this means a return to the real, but i'm hardly convinced it is.
