Ems technical skills on MMLP2 are every bit as good as Relapse, if not more so in certain cases, based on the fact he showcases every single lyrical skill or ability he has on MMLP2. He didn't showcase nearly as much diversity on Relapse, and he was rapping with that fucking accent 90% of the album, which got old midway through. The only song on Relapse that reaches Bad Guy, Legacy, Brainless, Headlights, Evil Twin, Groundhog Day heights is Deja Vu.

3 am, Same Song & Dance, Stay Wide Awake are all good, but are they higher than just good??? Not in my opinion.

Just on Relapse, his thoughts sound all over the place. Which is what I enjoy about it tbh. But MMLP2 feels like a more focused project...I'm sorry EminemBase but I'm talking his vocal delivery and lyrics. It all sounds like ONE idea. Which is what you seem to have a problem with MMLP2 when in reality it's more linear than Relapse is. Relapse is crazy and bipolar...which is awesome. But production isn't enough to put Relapse over MMLP2 for me.

I will officially announce that I believe MMLP2 is ultimately a better project than Relapse. Everything combined just hits and "does it" for me.

3 AM is so perfect too. I love Eminem shoving a fleshlight up Kim Kardashian's ass because she's a celebrity who isn't easy to make fun of, and Eminem waking up at McDonalds, and Eminem drinking his cousin's bath water because he thought "DAT AW-TUH BEH FUN!", and Eminem one bar saying "The sight of blood excites me", and the next bar saying "THAT MIGHT JUST BE AN ARTERY SON!".

I feel like his addiction plays a huge role in the way he approaches music now. He is much more technically obsessed and focused on squeezing as many words into one line as possible. Just like he lost weight by running 17 miles a day like a maniac. And why he overkilled the accents on Relapse. He overkilled the "funny" stuff on Encore. He overkills everything now. I don't know if that will ever change.

No it won't. He finds one thing on each album to obsess over and completely goes all-out. He did the same thing on MMLP2 trying to make everything rhyme and make sense at the same time...when many Relapse lyrics were random. If I'm being an honest fan.

I love Relapse. Love it to death one of my favorite albums ever. But MMLP2 is superior. I realize that now.

And Britney Spears has shoulders like a man and I can say that and you'll laugh because there's a puppet on my hand.
So zany. Relapse is so perfect.

I don't even read that far into it.....EmBase sounds he over thinks things....I can listen to Em spittin on MMLP2 and the sound of the vast majority of the songs, and it's better and fresher than Relapse. Relapse is a solid album, but that's it.

I hear the assurance Em has in his voice and rhymes now, which weren't there on Relapse. I hear 18 out 21 tracks he delivered great, real good, good, or solid tracks. I hear a vast diverse of Eminem flows, where he showcases every single type of ability he has on the mic. I hear every single thing we like about Eminem on MMLP2.

It's no classic.....but it's very good. There's a reason it's been his most well received album in over a decade.

Music Box is 6.5/10.

It's zany/10.

I think my quote from that review helped you.....

It's so fuckin true. Someone sig this for truth.

"There’s a sinister assurance to his delivery on MMLP2 that has often been missing since The Eminem Show"

Now don't get me wrong, I love MMLP2, but Eminem's flow since Bad Meets Evil... well I don't want to say I don't like it but I prefer the old one. It just seems to me that he raps so fast that he "stumbles over words" now...

Both Buffalo Bill and Music Box are better than most (if not all) the songs on MMLP 2.

Boogieing down to Frank Sinatra with Christopher Reeves is just as good as Bad Guy imo.

Yeah because it's so zany, witty, witty and zany witty. It's zany/10.
